Derek Paulsen, Founder

Bob - Sale Manager
Bob started as a one day fill-in when we needed some extra muscle. One day became two. He was so fantastic to work with, we made him an offer to walk away from his other job and join us permanently. Now, he is our longest tenured employee, both currently and all time. Bob has 7 years of experience and has become, in every way, the heartbeat of this company. Bob oversees all aspects of the estate sale process and knows our systems inside and out. Always cool, calm, and collected, the unflappable Bob has many dedicated followers among our customer base that love to come see him every week. Bob is honest, fair, and deeply versed in our business. He’s also the best friend anyone could ever ask for and I’m forever thankful that this business brought our lives together.

Logan - Sale Manager
Logan has been with us for 3 years and has very quickly become a part of the foundation of this company. As reliable and dependable as the sun, he has an incredibly agreeable attitude and bottomless work ethic. He is a major reason why we have never once missed a deadline with over 900 clients served. He also contributes a great deal to our public visibility by marketing our beautiful items online, as well as helping run our showroom on a regular basis. Logan has recently been promoted to Sale Manager along with Bri and Bob, as he’s learned so much in his time with us, and he’ll help lighten the load on the weekends as he does with everything else. He’s a great leader and teacher for the newer people, and his communication skills keep everyone on the same page. Congratulations Logan!

Bri - Sale Manager
If Bob is the heartbeat, Bri is the breath in our lungs. For 6 years now, she has been more passionate about what we do than anyone else. Nearly every week we have two entire households set up, priced, advertised, and ready to go, and another two empty and clean. Organizer extraordinaire, Bri is the reason we keep it all together. She’s constantly balancing clients, customers, employees (and me!) to make sure we get it all right. We offer so many customization options, and process so many houses, it’s a miracle we can keep it all straight, and Bri is that miracle. She sincerely loves what she does and that shines through, even on our toughest days. Bri is also a huge part of why we have such an incredible following, and it’s possible she may have more loyal followers than Bob!

Matt - Sale Specialist
Some years ago now, Matt became an instant legend of the estate sale world. Originally a long-time loyal shopper, we will be forever fortunate that he offered to join this enterprise. More knowledgeable than all of us, he has an incredible eye for value, a welcoming demeanor for our shoppers, and an uncanny ability to work a fair deal. He has an incredibly taxing professional career elsewhere, yet he always makes himself available to us, week in and week out, to help make our sales a positive experience for everyone. We are beyond lucky to have someone of Matt’s caliber give so much of himself. He has enhanced our standing in the estate sale industry since day one.
The rest of our staff is comprised of a hard-working, dependable, and knowledgeable group of people that are involved with all phases of the estate sale process. Handling clients’ homes and belongings with care and respect, the crew at Empire will help make the entire experience seamless! Everyone in the organization is employed either part-time or full-time on a permanent basis, and they’re fully insured and bonded. Empire Estate Sales will never have an off-the-books or uninsured employee working in your home.
